Sunday 31 May 2026, 10 am to 2 pm, at Australian Catholic University North Sydney Campus, Level 11, 33 Berry St (cnr Pacific Hwy and Berry St) - close to North Sydney station and Victoria Cross Metro station
The ancient philosophy of Stoicism has experienced a revival. Stoicon-X events bring speakers and attendees together to learn and discuss this philosophy of life.
Stoicon-X events are held as part of the global Modern Stoicism non-profit organization.

Dr Tyler Paytas is a philosopher in the Western Civilisation Program at Australian Catholic University. He is co-author of Plato's Pragmatism: Rethinking the Relationship between Ethics and Epistemology (2021) and co-editor of Kantian and Sidgwickian Ethics: The Cosmos of Duty Above and the Moral Law Within (2020). Benjamin Seldon (Sydney) is a highly awarded English Teacher, Head Teacher and Deputy Principal at Balgowlah Boys Hugh School, 2002 -2026, with an interest in philosophy, literature and psychology.
Edward Benet (Sydney) is the creator of the 'Ultimate Mindmaps' series of brainstorm notebooks. Until recently he was a detractor of Stoic philosophy, but is now an avid student and practitioner.
Judith Stove (Sydney) is a writer and student of Stoicism. Her latest book is Marcus Aurelius and His Legacy: Seeking Rome’s Kingdom of Gold (2025).
